The Gold Basin oxide-gold project lies within the Walker Lane Trend, one of the most productive gold belts in the United States. Helix is earning up to 40% in the project through a joint venture with Gold Basin Resources. The tenements cover 42 km² and host six advanced targets which outcrop at surface.
A JORC (2012) Inferred Resource of 8.35 Mt containing 299,800 oz Au at 1.12 g/t Au was first reported in 2019. Since then, 335 additional drillholes (35,157 m) have been completed but not yet included in the resource. These results confirm broad, flat-lying oxide-gold mineralisation from surface to ~150 m depth, demonstrating continuity and open-pit potential. Updated Mineral Resource Estimates are in progress.
Preliminary metallurgical testwork has shown the mineralisation is clean and highly amenable to low-cost heap-leach extraction. The project is located 1.5 hours by road from Las Vegas, with year-round access and established infrastructure, providing a favourable setting for future development.
